Since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine , rock and metal bands with shows scheduled in Russia throughout the first half of the year have opted to postpone or cancel their performances.

According to a list from Loudwire , one of the first bands to announce the decision was Green Day. "We are aware that this moment isn't about rock shows in stadiums, it's much bigger than that. But we also know that rock and roll is forever and we are confident that there will be a time and a place for us to return in the future," the group explained in a statement.

The Killers, a confirmed act for the Park Live Festival scheduled for July of this year, will follow the same path, as will the bands Biffy Clyro, Placebo , and Iggy Pop , as already announced on the event's website . Slipknot's performance at the festival is listed as "postponed," as are shows the band announced in Ukraine.

Italian sensation Måneskin has cancelled its entire European tour, with no rescheduling date planned. “We are closer than ever to our fans, our partners and all those tormented by war at this time. Our solidarity goes out to all those suffering from the conflict in Ukraine and we hope that the ongoing violence will come to an end,” the band wrote.
