Green Day released the single "One Eyed Bastard" this Friday, the 5th, which will be part of the band's upcoming album, Saviors .
The album will be released on January 19th and already includes " The American Dream Is Killing Me ", " Look Ma, No Brains! " and " Dilemma ".
Billie Joe Armstrong spoke about the release in a press release ( via NME ): “'One Eyed Bastard' started out as just a riff I had – a shuffle, almost like a Black Sabbath riff. Lyrically, I was just reflecting on the bad moments in life.”
“That’s the thing about nostalgia, sometimes you think, ‘That was a horrible time,’” he added. “Everyone has that ugly place in life where they have to deal with ugly thoughts – it could be like revenge or something like that. Luckily, I have an outlet for composing.”
