Green Day led the chants of "fuck Donald Trump " during their show in Belgium on July 4th, Independence Day in the United States.
The band headlined Rock Werchter in Belgium, coinciding with Independence Day in the United States. Green Day opened the show with "American Idiot," then adapted the lyrics to criticize President Donald Trump and his MAGA (Make America Great Again) policy: "I'm not part of the MAGA agenda" (instead of "I'm not a part of a redneck agenda") – something the band has been doing for several years.
Immediately following “American Idiot,” the band transitioned into “Holiday,” during which vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong led the chants of “fuck Donald Trump” during an extended jam session.

Later, Billie Joe Armstrong played a short excerpt of the American national anthem before launching into "Wake Me Up When September Ends." He sang: "In the light of dawn, what do we salute with such pride, in the last glimmer of twilight?"
