Green Day released the new song "Holy Toledo" this Friday, the 5th. The track is part of the soundtrack for the romantic comedy film Mark, Mary & Some Other People , which was also released today.
“Holy Toledo!” is the third single released by Billie Joe Armstrong and company since their last album, Father of All Motherfuckers, in 2020. The band has already released “Pollyanna” and “Here Comes the Shock ,” but has not revealed whether the songs will be part of a new full album.
Last week, the group released a live version of "Basket Case," which will be part of The BBC Sessions project. The project will be released on December 10th and will feature 16 recordings the band made at the British broadcaster's studios between 1994 and 2001.
Mark, Mary & Some Other People tells the story of Mark, played by Ben Rosenfield , and Mary, played by Hayley Law , who get married until Mary realizes she still wants to meet other people, so they decide to have an open relationship.
