Green Day releases cover of Elvis Costello song recorded during the 'Nimrod' era.

Green Day has released a previously unreleased cover of Elvis Costello ." The version is part of the new edition of the album Nimrod , which will be released on January 27th.

The reinterpretation of “Alison” was recorded during the sessions for Nimrod , Green Day's fifth album. Other demos from that time will also be released in the new edition.

Nimrod XXV celebrates the 25th anniversary of the release of the iconic album featuring classics such as “Hitchin' A Ride”, “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)”, “Redundant” and “Nice Guys Finished Last”. The work will be released on CD, vinyl and in digital format.
