Slipknot has revealed an alternate cover for the album .5 The Gray Chapter in honor of its fifth anniversary.
Percussionist Shawn Crahan , aka Clown , went to the band's Instagram to show the cover that almost became the final version.
He wrote: “This cover was a strong contender for the final album artwork and represents where my mind was during the album process.”
Released in 2014, .5: The Gray Chapter was the first album since the death of Paul Gray in 2010 and the dismissal of drummer Joey Jordison.
