Iggor Cavalera recently spoke about a possible Sepultura alongside his brother and co-founder, Max Cavalera , and revealed that he has only one priority in this matter.

In an interview on the Mike Nelson Show (via Ultimate Guitar ), the drummer explained that the real reunion is between him and Max, considering the period Iggor remained in Sepultura after his brother's departure, before also leaving the band in 2006.

“I have to be honest with you, man. In my opinion, the real reunion is me and my brother. You know, he’s the person I want to be united with,” he said. “For me, if the other things [with Sepultura] don’t happen, I won’t be too upset, you know.”

Iggor acknowledges that "it would be wonderful," but the most important reunion for the musician has already happened: "Just me and my brother together, that's what makes me happy."

The brothers are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of the album Roots , an absolute classic by Sepultura, on a tour of Latin America this year to celebrate the album's legacy and the impact of Roots on the history of heavy metal, especially in the national scene.

Max and Iggor will perform thirteen shows across Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil. In Brazil, they will have five shows in August: Brasília, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, Ribeirão Preto, and São Paulo. See dates and venues here .
