Sepultura has just announced on their social media that Andreas Kisser has had to leave the European tour and will be replaced by Jean Patton from Project46.
In the publication, the group explains that Andreas “had to return to Brazil to take care of a family emergency” and so that “the show wouldn’t stop” they invited Patton to join them on the tour, which continues tomorrow, the 23rd, at the “Kilkim Žaibu” Festival in Lithuania.
The group did not specify how long Patton will remain with the group, but the tour will continue to Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, and more. In the post, which you can see below, the group also thanked Patton for his support: “We would like to welcome Jean, thank him immensely for accepting this invitation that happened so quickly and unexpectedly (the rehearsals so far have been amazing!), and send good vibes to the Kisser family!”
Next, Patton posted the same photo of himself with the band with the following caption: “Absurdly honored to be invited to play with these guys! Andreas Kisser is a hero to me, as is Sepultura!”
Sepultura is currently touring with their album Quadra , released in early 2020, but only promoted two years later due to the pandemic.
