The duo will perform in three American cities in March
Since the formation of the Grateful Dead in 1965, musicians Bob Weir and Phil Lesh have played together in several different lineups. Now, they will test a new formation: together as a duo.
In 2018, Weir and Lesh will perform six shows in three American cities with the Bobby and Phil Tour for the first time.
Each night will feature two sets: one acoustic and one electric, featuring Grateful Dead songs and "surprise songs." The shows celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album Terrapin Station, released on July 27, 1977.
“Playing with Bob always brings me joy. The intuition we’ve created together over the years always brings us new musical experiences, something I find fascinating. And I think the fans will enjoy hearing our music in this format, just as I do ,” Lesh said in a statement.
