The vocalist is the only surviving member

Alex Pascu, the bassist for Goodbye To Gravity, the band that was playing the night of the fire in Romania, died yesterday from injuries sustained in the accident. The musician's death brings the number of fatalities from the fire to 51.

The band's two guitarists, Vlad Telea and Mihai Alexandru, were two of the 26 victims who died immediately after the accident. Drummer Bogdan Lavinius died on the 8th while being transported to a hospital in Switzerland. Vocalist Andrei Galut, the only surviving member of the band, remains hospitalized.

The fire at the local band's concert was caused by fireworks that ignited one of the building's pillars. Riots and protests against the authorities for negligence regarding safety culminated in the resignation of Romania's prime minister earlier this month.
