This Friday, the 30th, Gojira released their highly anticipated seventh studio album. Called Fortitude , this is Gojira's first album in 5 years, following Magma , from 2016.
With a total of 11 tracks, the new album has already had five songs released in advance as a form of promotion. These were " Another World ," " Born For One Thing ," " Amazonia ," " Into The Storm ," and " The Chant ," which allowed fans a glimpse of what was to come.
Commenting on Gojira's new musical direction, vocalist and guitarist Joe Duplantier mentioned classic rock names like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix , and Pink Floyd , reflecting that influences like these eventually begin to appear naturally. "Now that we're older and have the desire to create something that's more focused, perhaps, and that takes time to express itself. And it's a very strange feeling because we feel more mature," the musician explained.
