Gojira guitarist Christian Andreu even returned to finish the set after the accident
During a Gojira this past weekend, guitarist Christian Andreu suffered facial burns. A gust of wind blew flames from the pyrotechnics, striking the guitarist. The set was temporarily interrupted.
Andreu left the stage, prompting vocalist Joe Duplantier to ask, "Did he burn himself?" After a few minutes, the guitarist returned to a standing ovation from the audience, his face red from the accident.
Like a true legend, Andreu finished the set, taking time between songs to cool his face with water.
Gojira didn't mention the accident in the Instagram recap, but the intense flames are still visible.
