The French band Gojira a headliner at Rock In Rio has announced three new dates in South America between August and September, but no new shows in Brazil at the moment.
The band will tour Argentina and Chile before taking the stage at the festival in Rio de Janeiro, then heading to Colombia with a tight schedule that leaves little room for announcing any extra shows here.
Gojira will take the stage on September 2nd, known as Metal Day, a date that features Iron Maiden as the main attraction of the night. The group, formed by Joe Duplantier (vocals and guitar), Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (guitar), and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass), was announced as a replacement for Megadeth , who canceled their performance at the festival without further explanation after announcing a US tour for the same period.
