The performance was a tribute to the band that is a great inspiration to the Godsmack frontman.

Last week, Godsmack was in New York with their new tour promoting the album When Legends Rise. Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers to join them on stage and play an AC/DC classic.

The chosen track was “Highway to Hell,” serving as a tribute to the band and its legacy. According to an interview with Metal Hammer , AC/DC was one of the bands that most inspired and shaped Godsmack's vocalist, Sully Erna .

Following the performance, Godsmack and Shinedown announced they will be touring together in North America. The shows will begin on September 21st in Greenville, South Carolina, and end on October 11th in Portland, Oregon.
