“Bulletproof” will be part of the band's new album
recently announced that they will be releasing a new album. The first single, " When Legends Rise,"
Directed by Troy Smith, "Bulletproof" is a satire about the search for a new director for a music video. In it, Godsmack's manager, Paul Geary, advises changing the creative direction and suggests hiring a new person.
After hearing performances from professionals like Sebastian Bach and Billy Ray Cyrus, the group decides to hire the cousin of vocalist and guitarist Sully Erna. Inevitably, the recording becomes a disaster, resulting in a fire on set.
Speaking about the video, Erna says that she wrote the script alongside Troy: “It’s a kind of short film in the form of a music video (…) We had so much fun and laughed a lot. Music is as much about entertainment as it is about art. And we want to share that with the public.”
When Legends Rise will be released on April 27th by Spinefarm Records and is available for pre-order here.
