“Under Your Scars” is on Godsmack’s recent album, When Legend Rise.
Godsmack has released the music video for the track “Under Your Scars,” featured on the band's latest album, When Legend Rise . The album was released last year.
Suly Erna , vocalist of Godsmack, spoke about the music and shared an unusual inspiration.
“This song came to me after I spent some quality time with someone I consider a dear friend. I came to admire and respect her as one of the most talented artists of today, Stephanie Germanotta . Who many of you may know as Lady Gaga ,” she said.
“During our time together, she made me realize that we all have these imperfections, these scars that we carry. Whether physical or emotional, they cut so deeply that they can paralyze us. These feelings make us vulnerable. As humans, we don't want to expose these scars; instead, we want to embrace them. We have to realize that we can overcome them and even use them as inspiration for others to find inner strength. To show our scars to everyone with pride. Our 'scars' are our battle wounds from life and help shape us into who we are.”
