Glenn Tipton joined his Judas Priest at the show on April 6th in Milan. As in the shows for the past six years, Tipton participated with the band in the final songs “Metal Gods” and “Living After Midnight”.
Tipton has been living with Parkinson's disease for 10 years, but only in 2018, when he stepped away from touring, did he share the diagnosis. On the albums Firepower and Invincible Shield , producer Andy Sneap was the guitarist who replaced him.
Glenn Tipton's contributions to Judas Priest
In a recent interview with The Aquarian , Richie Faulkner spoke about Glenn's contributions to the band's new album. “Separately, we all put together ideas for riffs, songs, and melodies. He did the same, actually, so when we got in a room together – me, Glenn, and Rob – we had these ideas laid out. We put these ideas on the table and played them back and forth. Glenn did the same. He had a few more ideas that were further developed – 'Sons Of Thunder', 'Escape From Reality', 'Vicious Circle', things like that – so we worked on them. It wasn't different in that respect. He was able to sit in a studio to take some time and play the ideas he was putting forward. And when he had an idea and we were together, if he couldn't play it that day, he would translate it through me and we would discuss it.”
