Glen Peart , father of Neil Peart , legendary Rush , has died after a long battle with cancer. The news was released by Neil's sister, Nancy Peart Burkholder , who announced that he passed away on June 12th.
"On behalf of our mother and all members of our family, the Peart Family would like to thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy following the passing of our beloved Glen; husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather," Nancy wrote on Facebook.

Glen Peart was the president of an agricultural equipment dealership and had four children, of whom Neil was the oldest.
Neil Peart died on January 7, 2020, in Santa Monica, California, after a three-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The drummer was 67 years old.
