Glastonbury one of the world's biggest festivals, will not take place for the second year in a row, in 2021.

The event, which takes place in the United Kingdom every year, will have its next edition in 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. "It will be another year of forced rest for us," the organization said in a statement published on its website.

"Despite our best efforts to move heaven and earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the festival happen this year." Tickets already purchased will be valid for the 2022 edition of the festival, the statement said.

The 2020 edition would have marked the 50th anniversary of the event and already had a lineup announced with Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross and Gilberto Gil.
