Gibson recreates iconic Jimi Hendrix guitars; see them here.

Replicas of the 1969 Flying V and the 1967 SG Custom were created

Gibson has recreated two iconic Jimi Hendrix in tribute to the musician. The store announced replicas of the 1969 Flying V and the 1967 SG Custom.

The first model was used by the artist during the Band of Gypsys and at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. The second was used during Hendrix's national television debut on The Dick Cavett Show in 1969.

The guitar purchase package includes other amazing items for fans of the guitarist: official photos, a collection of anecdotes, and personal images from the archives of Eddie Kramer , Hendrix's engineer, producer, and collaborator.

Speaking about the new release, Kramer said: “I’m honored and privileged to be involved in this project, as Gibson has done an incredible job recreating these guitars. I can imagine the expression on the fans’ faces when they open the guitar case and put their hands around the neck of one of these beauties, plug in, and maybe change the world!”
