Tobias Forge , leader (and dictator ) of Ghost , has chosen the best song to introduce the band to potential new followers.

Revolver magazine , in which the frontman chose the Grammy-winning song for Best Metal Performance: "Cirice," from the album Meliora , released in 2015.

“I think it’s a good song for that because it brings together a lot of the band’s concept, musically and lyrically. There’s a big handful of metal in there, but also AOR [album-oriented rock] and melody. There’s a kind of androgynous element that I like to try and tap into in our music, and I think ‘Cirice’ has that ambiguity – it’s made to sound dangerous,” he explained.

Beyond this conceptual aspect, the track was chosen by Forge because it can be a "comfort" song for listeners. "Ultimately, that's what we do – we're trying to comfort people. We want people to understand that there is hope. Nothing lasts forever, not even bad things. Everything is fluid. I think 'Cirice' captures a lot of that," he added.
