Ghost has just released the single “Twenties”, the third from the band's new album , Impera .

During an interview with Kerrang!, frontman Tobias Forge said the song would be a mix of " Slayer meets Missy Elliott ." Now, you can listen to the track below and decide for yourself.

“Twenties” blends various influences and elements of Forge's personality. Orchestral in style, the track features some very dark and heavy moments.

According to Blabbermouth KLAQ radio , vocalist Tobias Forge revealed that he had been working on the concept for Impera since 2014. According to the musician, he had read a book called The Rule of Empires which inspired him to write about the rise and fall of empires.

Impera will be released on March 11th and is already available for pre-order at this link.
