Ghost: New album 'Impera' arrives with a launch ritual; watch it

After four years, the band releases its fifth studio album this Friday

Ghost 's new album is here! The album Impera, the band's fifth studio album, arrived this Friday, the 11th, with a celebratory live stream – or rather, a release ritual.

In the performance, broadcast live from the Ministry of Ghost, the band presented the tracks “Kaisarion”, “Call Me Little Sunshine”, “Hunter's Moon” and “Spillways”, all part of the new album.

The successor to Prequelle (2018) already had the new incarnation of Papa Emeritus IV revealed during a show in January of this year, with a new look for the band leader and the musicians , known as Nameless Ghouls .

The song “Twenties,” the last single released before the album, was inspired by a Brazilian rapper . Although he couldn't identify the musician, frontman Tobias Forge was impressed by what he saw: “It was one of the most musically aggressive things I've ever seen, and I felt that one day I would write something similar to that,” he said .
