Ghost kicked off the Skeletour World Tour. The first show took place on April 15th at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

The setlist consisted mostly of songs from the new album, Skeletá , but also brought back classics that hadn't been played since 2019, as well as other premieres.

From their most recent work, the songs performed live were “Peacefield”, “Lachryma”, “Satanized” and “Umbra”. Other new additions were “The Future is a Foreign Land”, from the concert film Rite Here, Rite Now (2024) and “Darkness At The Heart Of My Love”, from Impera (2022).

The performance also surprised, bringing back “Spirit” and “Majesty” from Meliora (2015) and “Monstrance Clock” from Infestissumam (2013). The latter, for many years, was the closing song of the band's “rituals.” The three songs had not been performed live since 2019.

Ghost maintains ban on cell phones.

Following the model of the shows recorded for the film Rite Here, Rite Now , Tobias Forge implemented a ban on cell phones at this concert as well, and it is expected that the rule will remain for the rest of the tour. Therefore, it is unlikely that videos or photos of the new pope will surface online anytime soon.

In an interview with the program Planet Rock , the vocalist highlighted how positive the experience without cell phones was at those performances: “I hadn’t seen an audience interact like that since the time I played in bands in clubs.”

Ghost's new album, Skeletá , will be released on April 25th by Loma Vista Recordings .

In an interview with Wikimetal , Tobias Forge revealed that he wants to bring Ghost to Brazil in 2026.

Throughout the day, I'm accompanied by a soundtrack, preferably composed of rock and metal (in its numerous subgenres). Reading about music is one of my favorite pastimes, and being able to write about it is a rewarding exercise. I have a degree in Multimedia Production from the Belas Artes University Center.
