After two years, Ghost returns with the chilling new song “Hunter's Moon,” which is part of the soundtrack for the upcoming film Halloween Kills Halloween horror franchise . The film hits theaters on October 15th, just in time for the so-called Spooky Season, and brings with it this gift for Ghost fans.
“Hunter's Moon” features Fredrik Åkesson of Opeth on guitar and Martin Hederos , founder of The Soundtrack Of Our Lives , on piano. Blumhouse , the studio responsible for the film Halloween Kills , reportedly invited Tobias Forge to visit the film set in 2019 after attending Ghost's show at The Forum in Los Angeles the previous year.
The release of “Hunter's Moon” isn't tied to a future Ghost album, but in October 2020, Tobias told Sweden Rock Magazine that the band wouldn't release an album until they were sure they could tour. The new song arrived accompanied by a spooky music video, full of references to the Halloween , and with a chilling script. Watch the official video for “Hunter's Moon” now:
