Who are the members of Ghost ? Beyond the central figure of Tobias Forge , the musicians in the Swedish band are mysterious figures called Nameless Ghouls , or "nameless demons".

Alongside the lineage of Papa Emeritus and other characters from the lore created for the Ghost universe, the remaining members of the band were supposed to remain anonymous under their iron masks and standardized clothing.

The original plan was to keep the names of these musicians a complete secret, as planned by frontman Tobias Forge, a self-confessed "dictator and absolute controller ," whose own identity was also hidden for years.

In 2017, all of that changed for legal reasons when former band members sued Tobias Forge , accusing him of unfair distribution of profits from albums and tours. The names of the former Nameless Ghouls members Simon Soderberg, Mauro Rubino, Henrik Palm, and Martin Hjertstedt were then revealed.

In response to this lawsuit , the leader of Ghost denied having an agreement with his former colleagues: in reality, Ghost is not a joint project, but rather an entity that he controls. The other members are merely "hired musicians," whose role is simply to "play the music and maintain the image according to instructions."

The initial aura of mystery has been broken, and today there is a long list of former band members, but the identities of those behind the masks of the Nameless Ghouls on tour with Ghost are always a topic that generates curiosity.

Furthermore, the Nameless Ghouls (or Ghoulettes, if they are women) have nicknames depending on the instrument they play in the band. According to GuitarWorld , the Ghost tour lineup in 2022 consisted of Per Eriksson (guitar), Cos Sylvan (bass), Hayden Scott (drums), Jutty Taylor and Sophie Amelkin (multi-instrumentalists), Laura Scarborough and Mad Gallica (keyboardists). Who knows how long this list will remain?
