Ghost is releasing a movie, as confirmed by frontman Tobias Forge , and some parts have already been filmed.
The band recently played two shows in Los Angeles that raised suspicions that they might be working on something else.
In an interview with Metal Hammer , he spoke about the shows: “When I started putting everything together, I thought, ‘My God, I’m going to faint because there’s so much to think about,’” Forge says about the impressive production of the shows. “No, no, just don’t think about it.”
Forge didn't give many details about what the film will be like. "We were essentially filming a movie and we used two nights of crowds as extras… It will be a film with a concert element. So, a lot of what you experienced [at the two shows in Los Angeles] will be part of this project."
Recently, Ghost played shows in Los Angeles with a ban on cell phone use . Regarding this, Forge commented: “I’ve never seen a crowd interact like that since I was in a bar band. Those were the best shows I’ve ever done with Ghost, just because I didn’t have to see those damn cell phones.”
When asked if the band's film would follow a similar line to Metallica 's Through The Never , which combined concert footage and a fictional story, the vocalist replied: "In the sense that it's a concert with something else combined."
