Like the fans, Tobias Forge seemed slightly frustrated with the size of the venue that hosted Ghost in Brazil .
The band performed two sold-out solo shows in São Paulo at Espaço Unimed, which has a capacity of approximately 8,000 people. As soon as they were announced, tickets sold out quickly, prompting the band to add a second date at the same venue.
In an interview with the Argentinian podcast Un Dinamo Podcast (via Igor Miranda ), Tobias Forge commented that he would have liked to have played a show in a larger venue in Brazil. In Buenos Aires, Ghost was scheduled to perform at the Movistar Arena, which has a capacity of 15,000 people.
“The venue was kind of small in Brazil. I would have liked to have played somewhere bigger, like this one, because it would have been better, but that puts something on my list. Now we need to go back to Brazil and do everything a little better,” comments the vocalist.
In the same interview, Tobias also comments on his preference for performing in enclosed spaces because there are no concerns about weather factors, for example.
In São Paulo, Espaço Unimed is the indoor concert venue with the largest capacity, although it is still considered relatively "small". Places like Distrito Anhembi, Novo Anhangabaú, Memorial da América Latina, and Centro Esportivo Tietê are sometimes used to accommodate an "intermediate" level of people, that is, more than concert venues can hold, but less than what is needed to fill stadiums like Allianz Parque and Morumbi.
