Last Saturday, the 18th, Ghost headlined the Hellfest in France, but an unforeseen event caused the band to end the show earlier than planned.
According to Loudersound , the group had finished the 17th song of the night, "Dance Macabre," when vocalist Tobias Forge told the audience that he couldn't endure "even one more song" due to vocal problems.
“My voice is completely fucked up,” Forge says in an amateur video after putting his hand to his throat. “I can’t take another song.”
Ghost, however, performed most of their set , which usually ends with 20 songs. Unfortunately for the audience, one of the favorites, "Square Hammer," ended up being left out due to the unforeseen circumstances.
The band's performance ended with a confetti explosion, replacing the traditional fireworks display at the end of the festival. This year, Hellfest cancelled the attraction due to a heatwave in France that could increase the risk of forest fires.
