Ghost released the first teaser for the film last Wednesday, the 4th, featuring footage from the double show that took place in Inglewood, California in September 2023 .
These shows were special because the audience was not allowed to use any mobile devices during the performance. The phones were collected and later returned to the spectators after the show was over.
“It will be a film with concert elements,” said frontman Tobias Forge (via Metal Hammer ) when asked if the band’s film would follow a similar line to Metallica ’s Through The Never , which combined concert footage and a fictional story. “So, a lot of what you experienced at the two shows will be part of this project.”
“When I started putting everything together, I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to faint because there’s so much to think about,’” Forge said about producing the shows. “No, no. Just don’t think about it.”
