Musicians claimed that the lead singer and the judge in the case are part of the same secret society.
The lawsuit filed against Tobias Forge , aka Cardinal Copia , by the other members of Ghost had been dismissed, but now the band members will have another chance.
Simon Soderberg , Mauro Rubino , Henrik Palm, and Martin Hjertstedt are calling for a new trial, alleging that the case's judge, Henrik Ibold , should be dismissed due to a conflict of interest because he and Forge are members of Swedish Freemasonry.
According to the website NT.se , the musicians' lawyer, Michael Berg, wrote in the request that it was "impossible to objectively and impartially assess the information that Tobias Forge presented."
The original lawsuit alleges that Forge presented a partnership to the four Nameless Ghouls when they joined the band, stating that they would profit equally from Ghost's music. Forge denied this, saying the only agreement made was that the members would receive a fixed salary for performing live.
The current Ghost lineup is touring to promote their album Prequelle , released this year. The band will also be performing with Metallica in 2019 during their European tour.
