This Tuesday, the 16th, Ghost released a cover of "Phantom of the Opera" by Iron Maiden .
The release is part Phantomime covers EP , which is scheduled for release on May 18th. Prior to the Iron Maiden tribute version, Ghost had already released a cover of Genesis .
Other tracks that should be included on Phantomime are “See No Evil” by Television , “Hanging Around” by The Stranglers , and “We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)” by Tina Turner .
In April, vocalist Tobias Forge told NME Phantomime EP could "give a preview" of where he wanted to take Ghost musically.
“That doesn’t mean we’re going to start sounding like Television,” he clarified. “It’s just that there are practical issues that inspired me to record this EP in a slightly different way than I would have done before.”
In September, Ghost will be touring Brazil and will perform two consecutive nights in São Paulo, on September 20th and 21st. The performance will take place at Espaço Unimed. Tickets for the extra date are still available for purchase Livepass website .
