Ghost concert last Tuesday, August 5th, in Kansas City, USA, was the target of a protest by the Westboro Baptist Church.
The band's photographer, Ryan Chang , captured the moment in front of the T-Mobile Center , where the band performed. Protesters appeared with signs that read "God is not a joke," "Sin is shame, not pride." Another message propagated was that "Free will is a satanic lie."
The church is known for its extremist ideologies against homosexuality, to the point that the website link translates to "God hates fags".
The protest had been planned days in advance, according to a post on the Instagram account @ ghost.brazil .

Possible Ghost concert in Brazil in 2026
In an interview with Wikimetal , Tobias Forge revealed that he wants to bring Ghost to Brazil in 2026.
“You shouldn’t expect a visit this year, but probably next year, unfortunately. We’re working on it now, but Skeletour will extend until 2026. At the moment, we are working hard to make it happen in South America,” he assures. The Ghost’s last visit to Brazil was in 2023 with IMPERATOUR .
Also in the same interview, Tobias Forge commented on his love for Brazilian death metal bands and revealed that his first tattoo was the cover of a Sepultura released in 1985.
“I have a tattoo on my arm of the cover of the EP Bestial Devastation (1985),” he comments. “It was the first tattoo I ever got, when I was 18 or 19 years old. I think the first three or four Sepultura albums were very important to me.”
