“Dance Macabre” is part of the album Prequelle
"Dance Macabre" is the most popular song from Ghost , Prequelle , released in June of this year.
The song received a remix from French artist Carpenter Brut at the request of Ghost's vocalist, Tobias Forge . “I received an email from Tobias himself asking if I would do a remix of 'Dance Macabre' and of course I accepted. I wanted to give it a funky and disco touch, instead of sticking to pure synthwave, as would be expected. I think I highlighted the pop side of Ghost that is always hidden in their songs,” said Brut.
In 2016, Carpenter Brut also participated in The Popestar Tour .
