Ghost became the first hard rock band in four years to top the US album charts.

This milestone marks the band's first number-one album in the United States, their first since AC/DC's Power Up in

The new album Skeletá sold 86,000 units, a total that includes physical sales and downloads, during its first week of release. In Ghost's history, the record belonged to their last album Impera , from 2022, which came in second place on the charts in its debut week with 63,000 copies and 9.1 million streams on digital platforms.

According to Billboard , the album sold a total of 44,000 vinyl copies, "the biggest week for a hard rock album on vinyl in the modern era, since data tracking began in 1991." It was also "the third-biggest week of vinyl sales in the modern era for any rock album," behind Blink-182 's One More Time… (49,000 copies sold in 2023) and Boygenius 's The Record (45,000 in 2023).

Skeletá also topped the album charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland. In the United Kingdom, it came in second place, surpassed by Stereophonics' Make 'Em Laugh, Make 'Em Cry, Make 'Em Wait .

Ghost's Skeletour world tour is currently in Europe and will arrive in the US in July. In an interview with Wikimetal , Tobias Forge revealed that he wants to bring Ghost to Brazil in 2026.
