Canadian hardcore band Get The Shot released the single “Deathbound” this Thursday, the 19th. The track features a special guest appearance by Rob Watson of Lionheart .
Speaking about the new release, vocalist JP Lagacé commented that the track is about "our primal response to years of accumulated hatred and anger against the injustices of humanity that have crossed our path."
“After more than a decade as a band, we’ve lived through our fair share of disappointment and betrayal. Now is the time for reckoning, to make the scum of the earth fear us again,” he continued. “ Nietzsche once said that nothing in life consumes a man more quickly than the passion of resentment. Well, this song is all about revenge and is nothing more than a cathartic attempt to make sense of this anger while transforming it into self-relevant power instead of decadent weakness.”
“Deathbound” will be part of the band's fourth album, which is yet to be named and has no release date announced. Until then, check out “Deathbound,” which came with a music video that you can watch below.
