George Fisher , vocalist of Cannibal Corpse , released his first solo album this Friday, the 25th. The project is called Corpsegrinder , in reference to the musician's stage name.
Featuring 10 tracks, the album was produced by Nick Bellmore and Jamey Jasta . “It’s a mix of death metal, thrash, and hardcore. It sounds fucking heavy,” Fisher summarized about the sound of the project, announced last year.
In “Acid Vat”, the album's first single, Fisher recruited guitarist Erik Rutan , from Hate Eternal and a colleague in Cannibal Corpse, who was the only special guest on the 31-minute album.
In May of this year, Fisher will be in Brazil for an extensive tour of the country with Cannibal Corpse: eight shows promoting the album Violence Unimagined (2021). Learn more here .
