Cannibal Corpse vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher is preparing to release his solo album and on Friday, the 24th, he released the first single from the project.

Titled “Acid Vat,” the song features Fisher’s bandmate Erik Rutan and is part of the album Corpsegrinder , which will be released on February 4th.

Corpsegrinder is co-produced by Nick Bellmore and Jamey Jasta . Regarding the collaboration, George Fisher commented: “When Jamey called me to do this album I was dying to get into the studio with Erik Rutan and record the vocals. It’s a mix of death metal, thrash and hardcore, and it sounds really heavy!!! I’m very excited about it and can’t wait for the world to hear it!!!”

Jamey Jasta, for his part, said that working with Corpsegrinder is “a dream come true” and that he considers the singer's voice one of the most “brutal” in metal history. Listen to the single “Acid Vat”:
