In a recent interview on The Metal Sucks Podcast Cannibal Corpse frontman George Fisher , also known as Corpsegrinder , commented on his relationship with streaming platforms.
In the conversation, Corpsegrinder said he's "too old" to pay for music streaming services, stating that he uses some digital platforms but has no interest in getting rid of the ads in the free versions. The musician said that, for him, listening to the ads between songs is like listening to the radio.
“It’s almost like growing up listening to the radio and there wasn’t much else to it. Or when I was working with my dad on construction jobs, we’d turn on the radio and there were songs you hated and suddenly you’d find yourself whistling them because you’d heard them a million times,” Corpsegrinder recounted. “I’m not going to pay to get rid of the commercials, I’m not going to spend $1.99 a month just so you don’t annoy me with your stupid commercials.”
Currently, Corpsegrinder is preparing for the release of Cannibal Corpse's new album, Violence Unimagined , which will be released on April 16th. So far, the band has released the singles "Condemnation Contagion," " Murderous Rampage, " and " Inhumane Harvest ."
