Geoff Tate was the lead singer of Queensrÿche for 30 years
The Music Mania conducted an interview with former Queensrÿche and current Operation: Mindcrime member , Geoff Tate , who spoke about how he deals with his voice today.
“I’ve been very blessed and I’m very lucky to have a strong voice and my body is still quite active and physical. So, no, I don’t have a problem singing. It’s more about traveling, traveling takes a lot out of you, so I usually try to schedule my tours so that they last a month and I have a few weeks to recover and come back after a few weeks off – that kind of schedule. Especially when you’re touring around the world, the change in weather really starts to get to me. I don’t know why, but it really bothers me, so I have to be careful. So far, so good. I’ve been really healthy and hopefully, fingers crossed, nothing will go wrong and I’ll be able to continue. You have people out there like Mick Jagger in his 70s who are still doing this very well.”
Tate left Queensrÿche in 2012, after 30 years in the band.
