Tate asks fans not to choose a side
In an interview on Eddie Trunk's radio show, Geoff Tate spoke about the split of Queensrÿche last year.
Tate said he hasn't listened to the material made by his former bandmates, who are currently working with Todd La Torre. Referring to the song released this month, "Redemption" (listen below), Tate said: "I have no interest in anything on the other side. I'm happy here, following my path, and I don't want to look back.".
The vocalist also expressed that he wouldn't want fans to have to choose a side of Queensrÿche. "Bands break up, there's always a reason for it, and there's no reason not to enjoy what each side has to offer.".
The two Queensrÿches will meet in court in November to decide which one will have the right to the band name. Currently, both groups have been producing material under the same name.
