Lead singer says he was betrayed by his former bandmates.

Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate said he hasn't listened to, and doesn't intend to listen to, the album released by his former bandmates featuring Todd La Torre on vocals.

“I have absolutely no interest. I didn’t hear it and I’m not going to hear it. I’ve practically thrown away the rearview mirror and I’m speeding forward. I have no interest in knowing what they’re doing. I spent 30 years with those guys and I know what they’re doing,” he concludes, laughing.

The hearing to decide on the future of the name “Queensrÿche” and its usage rights is scheduled for January 2014.

Geoff Tate added: “I worked very hard so that everyone could have good earnings and a great life, and my friendship and trust were completely betrayed. I was very hurt by everything that happened, and it was an emotional disaster for the first few months. Now things are finally in their place, and I don't want to look back. I feel completely free, artistically and spiritually, to follow my own path. I am very happy to work with happy and motivated people who have good ideas. I feel incredibly happy .
