Geoff Tate is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Queensrÿche's Operation: Mindcrime

Queensrÿche vocalist , currently in Operation: Mindcrime, Geoff Tate , spoke in an interview with Rock Titan about what advice he would give himself if he could travel through time:

“I would have gotten some kind of business education. I really have been… Hmmm, how do I put this? I don’t know anything about business, I’ve had some really tough situations, record labels going out of business right after releasing an album, no support from the label, nothing – the album just doesn’t sell. I’ve had managers stealing millions of dollars from the band – all sorts of horror stories. I would have studied business. Nobody in Queensrÿche went to college. And [you end up] trusting a lot of people, and they let you down and a lot of people have the best intentions but then they run into their own problems, which affects you, and it’s a domino effect.”.

Metallica 's lawsuit against Napster: "Hats off to him [ Lars Ulrich , Metallica's drummer] for standing up and saying what he felt, because he was right," Tate said. "I challenge anyone to suffer an 85% loss in their income, like musicians – people who write songs. An 85% loss of revenue – that's staggering."
