Geoff Tate Queensrÿche

Geoff Tate, former Queensrÿche member, talks about the most inspiring musician he has ever worked with.

Geoff Tate was fired from Queensrÿche in 2012.

Former Queensrÿche vocalist and current Operation: Mindcrime member, Geoff Tate,
spoke to AntiHero magazine about the most inspiring musician he has ever worked with:

“Wow, inspiring…I would say, probably, Michael Kamen. He was a classical orchestrator and writer. A musician I worked with several times over the years and he was very musical. He really had a vision for music and really loved music for its purity. He didn’t care what anyone else thought. He simply liked what he liked and he did what he liked. And I really respect people who have that kind of vision and fortitude, actually.”

Tate is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Queensrÿche's album Operation: Mindcrime on his current European tour. He was fired from the band in 2012 and replaced by Todd La Torre of Crimson Glory.

The singer recently recorded a new song called "I've Seen The Way The Wind Blows " in support of a non-profit organization focused on helping homeless people in Snohomish, United States, where Tate lives with his family.
