The musician also spoke about a possible reunion with the band
In an interview with All That Shreds, Geoff Tate spoke about the possibility of reuniting with Queensrÿche, saying that he would be willing to return if all the band members were thinking positively about it.
“I would never say never, you know. I’m open-minded. You never know, right? If everyone wants to do it, it can be something very sincere and honest. I’d like to be part of a cool gathering where everyone can enjoy each other’s company ,” he said.
In April 2014, Tate and Queensrÿche announced that they had reached an agreement after the lead singer filed a lawsuit against them for continuing to use the band's name following his dismissal in 2012.
Michael Wilton (guitar), Scott Rockenfield (drums), and Eddie Jackson (bass) ultimately retained the name and granted Tate the right to play the albums Operation: Mindcrime and Operation: Mindcrime II in their entirety at their shows.
Todd La Torre, the vocalist who replaced Tate, spoke to Metal Wani about the matter, and he claims that the band's sound is better today than when he wasn't the frontman.
