Gene Simmons has joined the list of celebrities who have shown support for pop singer Britney Spears in her fight to end the conservatorship administered by her father.

In November 2021, after a long legal battle and the intense online reaction of the #FreeBritney movement, singer Britney Spears was freed from the abusive conservatorship of her father, who had controlled all aspects of the artist's personal and professional life since February 2008.

Gene Simmons spoke out about the case for the first time on his Twitter. The KISS TMZ article that discussed Britney's father's request for the singer to testify in court.

Gene wrote: “Okay. This isn’t an area I usually comment on, but here goes. Britney Spears earned her money the hard way – she worked for it… Nobody, including her parents and family, should have authority over her finances. Period.”

Gene Simmons wasn't the only rock star to mention Britney Spears recently. A few weeks ago, Sebastian Bach shared a photo of himself taken in front of a mirror and said he was inspired by the singer's selfies
