Gene Simmons commented on the latest news in Kiss : their avatars.
According to NME , the bassist met with fans at Electric Lady Studios in New York and praised the technological quality of the avatars, saying, “There’s so much being planned, beyond my comprehension. But they’re spending around 200 million [dollars] to take this to the next level.”
The announcement of Kiss's "new era" took place at the final performance of the End Of The Road Tour in early December. The holograms, which have superpowers, were created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and produced by Pophouse Entertainment, which also worked on ABBA .
Former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley spoke about avatars , but his opinion isn't very favorable: "I mean, I saw a bit of it in a YouTube video last night. It looked like it was aimed at kids. And it's not rock n' roll."
