Bassist Gene Simmons played his first solo show on the 18th, shortly after the announcement of the death of legendary guitarist Chuck Berry. Simmons took a moment during the show to pay tribute to the musician, in an unscripted performance of the classic "Johnny B. Goode" .

Gene Simmons' band features guitarists Phil Souse and Ryan Cook, bassist Jeremy Asbrock, and drummer Jarred Pope.
