On Tuesday, Texas Republican Representative Louie Gohmert addressed a representative of the U.S. Forest Service in a subcommittee to discuss global warming.
According to Gohmert, the solution to climate change would be to alter the orbits of the moon and the Earth. In his speech, he said that according to NASA , the orbits of the satellite and our planet are changing slightly. “I want to know if there is anything the National Forest Service and the Land Management Agency can do to change the course of the lunar orbit or the Earth's orbit around the sun? Obviously, this would have profound effects on our climate,” Gohmert pointed out (transcription via Blabbermouth ).
Gene Simmons didn't let the comment go unnoticed and expressed his indignation on his Twitter profile. "I apologize for the language, but this Texas Republican is a complete idiot. Gohmert suggests altering the moon's orbit to combat climate change," he wrote.
