Invictus MD Strategies Corp. announced that rock legend and marketing innovator Gene Simmons of Kiss has joined the company.
The partnership involves Simmons leading the company in assisting with its public awareness strategy and eventual brand strategy for the recreational marijuana market, which is projected to be legal in Canada in 2018. His responsibilities will include serving as a marketing advisor, media spokesperson, public appearances, and participation in the company's annual general meeting, investor meetings, and more.
“Gene Simmons is a branding and merchandising genius who not only created one of the most iconic bands of all time, but has spent decades building internationally successful brands across multiple industries,” said Dan Kriznic, President and CEO of Invictus. “Gene will lead marketing initiatives that will help spread the positive messages that reside at the heart of Invictus, in accordance with the strict Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes (ACMPR) regulations [and other organizations],” Kriznic said.
“Values and family are very important to me, and when I first walked into Invictus with Dan, I immediately understood that we share a passion for those foundations,” said Gene. “Instead of jumping straight into business, we talk about the things that matter most .
Invictus was founded in 2014 and represents licensed cannabis growers across Canada.
